How you can help us
Aside from some minimal statutory funding, Home-Start Runnymede & Woking is responsible for raising the remaining funds required to run our home-visiting family support service. There are various ways in which you can help contribute financially to our charity:
Fundraising Events
We are always happy to offer help and support to individuals or companies looking to hold fundraising events on our behalf. From tea parties to quiz nights to sponsored walks, all sorts of different events can be a way of raising funds to support our work. If you have any great ideas about fundraising events please contact us!
Corporate Sponsorship
There are many benefits to a company for corporate sponsorship and even small donations can make a big difference to our scheme. if your company would like to make a donation or fundraise on behalf of Home-Start Runnymede & Woking we would love to hear from you! We would be happy to come and speak to your staff about our work and how they could help.
Funding and Donations
Each Home-Start scheme is locally funded and Home-Start Runnymede & Woking needs funding to maintain and develop our work with local families.
We believe that parents play the key role in ensuring children have a happy and secure childhood, but even the most dedicated parents can face challenges that prevent them doing all they want for their children.
We help families to achieve their full potential by offering a unique service of friendly, informal and confidential support to parents who are experiencing a variety of difficulties including isolation, family crisis, stress and relationship breakdown.

To date have received grants from Surrey County Council, Woking Borough Council, Runnymede Borough Council, The Henry Smith Charity, Children in Need, the Garfield Weston Foundation, Community Foundation for Surrey, Procter & Gamble, The Leathersellers’ Company and National Lottery for All, as well as many individual donors, both corporate and private, but each year the challenge of raising the funds necessary to run our service increases.
